The Extra Pre-Trip Day

We managed our own airfare and arrived a day and a half early to scout out Dublin, our tour-hotel, and to adjust to the time zone.  We found this to be really helpful!!
We shopped, visited the National Library, ate at Flanagan's (highly recommended) on O'Connell Street.  We used the Hop On and Hop Off bus to get around, along with walking.  Dublin is an easy city to navigate on foot  with the help of the Rick Steves guidebook.
